Week one lunch notes are short on purpose. Kids will not read a paragraph next to a yogurt. This page prints five dashed cards, Monday through Friday, with a small love line so you can sign fast at 7 a.m. Cut them Sunday night and clip them to the lunch bag. The jokes stay kind; nothing that will get read aloud in a mean voice. First week of school is loud, and a note is a quiet object they can keep in a pocket. Print week two before Friday so you are not hunting the printer during carpool. Original wording, free to reprint if one gets peanut butter on it. Use the same pen color all week so they spot the card in a crowded bag. Keep extras in a drawer for substitute lunches packed by a grandparent.
